PE Extravaganza event promises educational fun for all who attend

"P.E. is not what it used to be," said Tina Barr, teacher at Elmhurst Elementary. "The P.E. classes of today are engaging, educational courses that provide the kind of learning that students can use for the rest of their lives," she said. Barr and her other elementary physical education colleagues have collaborated to throw an event that showcases what students learn in P.E. classes on a daily basis.

The event is called P.E. Extravaganza, and it will include all kinds of fun and door prizes. Parents and community members are encouraged to attend. This free event will also include a pacer tournament, where three boys and three girls from each of the district's eight elementaries will compete in a running competition.
