Five schools win state career guidance award

Five district secondary schools -- Franklin Pierce High, GATES High, Washington High, Ford Middle, and Keithley Middle -- won the Office of State Superintendent of Public Instruction’s 2015 Career Guidance Award of Excellence. Franklin Pierce’s five schools were among a list of only 45 schools throughout the state to receive the honor.

The Career Guidance Award of Excellence is awarded to public middle and high schools who demonstrate outstanding high standards for development of school-wide college and career readiness specifically related to career guidance utilizing Career Guidance WA as a part of their comprehensive guidance and counseling program.
