JROTC Citizen Engagement

On November 1, the Air Force Junior ROTC instructors and cadets of Washington High School received a unit evaluation form the Unites States Air Force. The program received an overall unit assessment score of “Exceeds Standards", the highest rating attainable.

"The cadets were very impressive and displayed exemplary pride in their unit. Your instructors are exceptional role models and are providing a high quality program", shared Paul Lips, United Air Force Director.

The review demonstrated that Major Brian M. Riggle and Major Sgt. Joseph K. Fitzsimmons created a dynamic and supportive learning environment coupled with an excellent community outreach effort.  The instructors were noted to have provided outstanding leadership in administering a cadet-centered citizenship program.  The Washington High School cadets performed exceptionally well and took great pride in leading and accomplishing their unit goals.

The Washington High School Air Force JROTC continues to make a positive impact on the cadets, the school and the community.
