Washington High School seniors Nathan Samayo, Aida Acevedo, and Alexis Wosk learned recently that they are the recipients of the prestigious Act Six scholarship.
Washington High was among only four other schools throughout Pierce and King County to have three or more scholars.
Act Six is a leadership and scholarship program that connects community ministries with faith- and social justice-based colleges to equip emerging urban and community leaders to engage the college campus and their communities at home. The program provides scholarship recipients with full-tuition, full-need scholarships. The program actively supports the scholars throughout their undergraduate collegiate experience.
Each scholarship is worth in excess of $130,000 dollars.
