Seahawks at MidlandMidland Elementary had a special afternoon on Tuesday, September 15! Seattle Seahawks' Running Back Thomas Rawls (#34) and Running Back Rod Smith (#42) visited for a surprise "blue and green" assembly, as part of Play 60, a national in-school nutrition and physical activity program. And a visit by the Seahawks wouldn't be complete without the team's mascot, Blitz, who also attended the assembly. Rawls and Smith talked to the students about leading healthy lifestyles, the importance of goals, and the hard work it takes to achieve goals. Following the 25-minute assembly, two classes got to stay and play activities with both players and Blitz.
